Welcome. I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
You might be here because you’re questioning your drinking, your drug use, your gambling, your eating, or the way you’ve been coping lately. You might not be sure what it means. You just know things aren’t working the way you want them to.
For some people, the consequences have started to mount. Relationships feel strained. Work feels at risk. Life feels harder than it should. For others, it is a quieter exhaustion from trying and failing to keep things under control.
Many of the people I work with are intelligent, capable, and successful in other areas of their lives. So this can be especially confusing and deeply frustrating. It can be hard to understand why this is the one area of life where you can’t solve your problems.
I work calmly and respectfully with adults who want something different, even if they are not yet sure what different may look like. My approach is integrative and grounded in the understanding that these patterns develop for a reason. The behaviour is the problem, not you.
People come to see me for support with a range of concerns, including:
I understand these challenges as survival responses that begin as ways to cope, function, or get through the day, and only later start to cause harm.
I work beneath surface behaviours to understand what has been driving the pattern and what it has been helping you manage. I will never rush you or push you to make decisions prematurely. We go at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
Recovery, as I see it, is not just stopping a behaviour. It is about re-shaping a life once it is no longer organised around consequences, fear, and survival.
If life is no longer going the way you want and you’re tired of trying to figure it out alone, you are welcome to get in touch.
You don’t need to have the answers. One small step today is enough to make a start.
