You might be here because you have been trying your hardest to solve problems on your own, and it is not working.
That is often the reason people feel stuck. They are intelligent, capable, and used to finding solutions. But when it comes to gambling, drugs, alcohol, or food, willpower and insight often do not shift the pattern in the way you would expect.
These problems are not uncommon. The way through is to connect with someone who can see what you cannot see from inside the problem.
Gambling, drug, alcohol, and food problems are firmly rooted in our blind spots. It can be impossible to figure your own way out because you cannot see what is really going on. The harder you push, the more stuck you can feel.
When you contact an expert like me, you begin to understand your dilemma from a whole different perspective. What was invisible gently becomes visible. That shift matters because it allows you to start addressing the root causes and the current factors that keep you stuck.
As that happens, you begin to know yourself differently. You start to respect yourself more. You begin to find ways to live more authentically, guided by your own values and ambitions.
Feeling stuck can be very painful. It can lead to depression or suicidality. If you have been feeling that level of despair, I want to say this clearly: feelings are not facts. Just because you feel stuck does not mean it has to stay that way.
Moving forward begins when you are motivated to change. That is where I come in.
I work with individuals who want something different for themselves, whether that begins with stabilising the chaos, reducing harm, or understanding what is driving a behaviour that no longer makes sense.
I meet you where you are, and I am not interested in pushing you into decisions you are not ready for. I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where you can safely tell the truth, and where we can make sense of what has been happening.
Recovery is not just stopping a behaviour. It is rebuilding a life and having a second chance to live in a way that is more meaningful for you and more aligned with who you are.
If you want something different, I can help you get there. You are welcome to get in touch.
Please be aware that psychotherapy should not be considered an emergency treatment. If you are feeling suicidal, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14, and contact your GP or other healthcare provider for extra support.
